Ludwig Wright ist ein britisch-deutscher Songwriter, Poet und Performer, der mit Mitsing-Melodien Rock ’n’ Roll und Folk in Einklang bringt. Musikalisch ist er das Kind von Elvis Presley und Joni Mitchell. Somit kombiniert er Bühnenpräsenz und ein charmantes Lächeln mit einer klaren, starken Stimme und Fingerpicking-Fertigkeiten. Dabei überschreitet Ludwig Wright Genregrenzen, singt auf Englisch und hat europaweit Straßenshows und bisher über 250 Konzerte gespielt, trat beim Edinburgh Fringe Festival auf und debütierte fulminant beim Rudolstadt Festival 2023.
Seine ersten beiden Alben „HOPE“ (2018) und „LOVE“ (2020) veröffentlichte Ludwig Wright, der in Berlin wohnt und einen britischen Vater und eine deutsche Mutter hat, in Eigenregie. Im August 2023 erschien das dritte Album „Turn of Tides or Where the Waves Come From“, das vom Schall Magazin als „buntschillerndes Kaleidoskop ohrwurmiger Songperlen“ beschrieben und für den Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik nominiert wurde. Für die Aufnahmen konnte er den Produzenten Micki Meuser gewinnen, der bereits mit Größen wie Ina Deter, Silly und Die Ärzte arbeitete. Zudem schrieb und sang Ludwig Wright zusammen mit der Filmkomponistin Freya Arde einen Song für die vierte Verfilmung von Erich Kästners Roman „Das Fliegende Klassenzimmer“. Jüngst veröffentlichte er seine aktuelle Single „Love Letters“. Den Song widmete er einem Freund mit dem Rat: „Habe Mut zu Gefühlen“.

Ludwig Wright is an Anglo-German songwriter, poet and performer putting Rock ’n’ Roll into Folk with sing-along melodies. Musically, he is the child of Elvis Presley and Joni Mitchell and combines a dazzling stage presence and a charming smile with tender fingerpicking and a strong, clear voice. He mixes effortlessly musical styles, sings in English, has played street shows all around Europe and over 200 concerts besides having performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and having made his debut at the Rudolstadt Festival 2023 in Germany.
In August 2023 “Turn of Tides or Where the Waves Come From” Ludwig Wright’s third album was released which received four stars from RnR Magazine, being called a “colourful kaleidoscope of earwormy song pearls” by Schall Magazin and was shortlisted by the German Record Critics’ Award. It is a collection of tales with the sea as the setting. The musician says: “I’ve always felt a profound longing for the sea.” Ludwig Wright, who lives in Berlin and has an English father and a German mother, mentions his yearly visits to his grandfather in North Devon: “We’d sit on the cliffs for hours, watching the waves hit the shore. Now these memories have flown into the album.” For this he was able to win the producer Micki Meuser who has worked with German stars like Ina Deter, Silly and Die Ärzte. Recently Ludwig Wright co-wrote and sang a song with the film composer Freya Arde for current cinematic adaption of the novel “The Flying Classroom”.
