The fourth concert will take place at Boulder Junction on September 28th. This free concert series is made possible by the generous support of the City of Boulder and other sponsors. The September 28th at Boulder Junction event Includes: School of Rock (Broomfield): The Broomfield House Band is a hard-rocking cover band which showcases School of Rock's most advanced students ages 11-18. They perform year-round in the Denver area at venues of all sizes, community events, festivals, fundraisers, private parties, and more. He operates in the grey areas between genres, creating his own colorful hybrid of roots-rock, funk, soul, and troubadour-style Americana. It's a sound that's as diverse as its creator, whipped into sharp shape by a musician who's equal parts guitar hero and singer/songwriter craftsman. He embraces the full range of those roles with The Hang, the third album from the Taylor Scott Band. https://www.taylorscottmusic.com/welcome https://www.facebook.com/taylorscottmusic/ https://www.instagram.com/taylorscottband/ Dave Watts and friends: A graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music in 1990, Dave Watts was one of the founding members of the pioneering jam-band, Shockra who toured nationally for 4 years and created a large grassroots following. He moved to Boulder, Colorado, in 1994 and has since shared the stage or recorded with such names as George Porter, Stanley Jordan, Bill Evans, Charlie Hunter, Steve Kimock, Oteil Burbage, Jeff Coffin, Kyle Hollingsworth, Keller Williams, Jeff Pevar and Robert Walter. In 1998 Watts started The Motet, a progressive improv groove band with roots in funk, jazz, world, electronic music. Since that time, The Motet has toured coast to coast, building a national following from Alaska to Mexico to Boston. They have performed before a crowd of seven thousand to kick off the festivities at the Bonnarroo Music Festival. In addition, the band has played such venues as Red Rocks Amphitheater, The Fillmore West, The Fillmore in Denver, Freihoffer’s Jazz Festival in Saratoga Springs, and countless other prominent summer music festivals. As the creative force behind The Motet, Watts produced, engineered, mixed, recorded, as well as composed most of the material on the band’s albums, “Instrumental Dissent,” and “Dig Deep”. The albums are getting regular airplay on radio stations across the country as well as on Sirius Satellite Radio, and has received glowing critical reviews in such publications as The Denver Post and Glide Magazine. https://themotet.com/ https://www.facebook.com/THEMOTET Sun Jr (After Party Junnkyar Social) Sun Jr. is the bastard son of a psychedelic-fueled desert orgy no one acknowledges, but resembles all who were there, like Hendrix, Young, The Grateful Dead, and The Doors. Raised in the shadows of their half-siblings, and kindred cousins including My Morning Jacket, The War on Drugs, Lord Huron, Father John Misty, and Wilco, Sun Jr. sounds as familiar as their family tree, yet their configuration of pedal steel, banjo, electric guitar, bass-organ, and drums creates a whole new sound that is both classic and forward. https://sunjrband.com/home About Roots Music Project Foundation Roots Music Project Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit local music incubator based in Boulder, Colorado.
