Alt-Pop duo Everglow are bringing a poppier Newfoundland sound across the country. The East Coast Music Award-winning songwriter/producer duo hail from St. John’s and are shaking things up with a polished radio ready sound accompanied by a thrilling live performance, making a name for themselves as a band to watch since their inception in 2014. Releasing their debut single in March 2014, Everglow has since toured the country and amassed a nation-wide fanbase while creating a considerable buzz amongst the industry and the public in Atlantic Canada. In their two year history they have won an ECMA for Fan’s Choice Video of the Year, entered the Top 100 on Canadian Hit Radio at #93; received 6 MusicNL Award nominations for their debut album Ocean Season; toured across Canada; been featured on radio, newspaper, magazines, and TV province wide; and granted the wish of their fan Abby (To write and record a song with her, “Possible” released March 2015) through the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada. Everglow has showcased at East Coast Music Week 2016/2015 and Canadian Music Week 2015 in Toronto. The pair performed on the George Street MainStage on Canada Day 2015 in St. John’s, as well as opening for Trooper during George Street Fest in August of the same year. Friends and musical collaborators since high school, Jon (23) and Gordon (22) are the two halves that make up “Everglow”. No strangers to the Atlantic Canadian music scene as, respectively, former frontman/songwriter for RocketRocketShip, and having completed a program in music production at the Sonic Temple studio in Halifax, the two found common ground in a shared passion for highly accessible song crafting and exhilarating live performance. Travelling to Los Angeles to write songs with industry professionals in January and April of 2016, Everglow is currently working on writing and recording their sophomore album, having received a $7500 grant from MusicNL in support of their next project. Proud to be a part of charitable works, Everglow embarked on an 8-month tour across Canada with the non-profit group Live Different, performing in Junior High and High Schools from coast to coast. As a part of this tour, the pair released a music video for their single Feel Your Heart and have been promoting the song on radio nation wide, peaking at #93 on Canadian CHR charts. “Feel Your Heart”’s music video, along with Everglow’s lyric videos, acoustic videos, and music videos have been watched over 100 thousand times on YouTube. Set to release a new album in the winter of 2017, Everglow is excited to bring a sophomore album to the fans they have connected with across Canada.
