Pathos Trio

New Works for Percussion and Piano featuring Pathos Trio is a program of music that presents an exciting lineup of music, resulting from collaborations between PATHOS TRIO, and new music composers ALYSSA WEINBERG, ALISON YUN-FEI JIANG, ALAN HANKERS, FINOLA MERIVALE, SOPHIA JANI, and EVAN CHAPMAN. These works combine aesthetics of classical/contemporary genres of music with the ensemble's interests in dark, dense sounds, some of which can be influenced through alternative music, minimalist music, electronic music, and more, in order to create raw, edgy, and powerful soundscapes that will engage audiences in both commercial and classical/new music scenes. This program is made possible in part by New Music USA, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, and Chamber Music America.
