About this show
Mountain Holiday with Chloë Agnew of Celtic Woman, John Driskell Hopkins of Zac Brown Band, IBMA Entertainer of the Year Balsam Range and Atlanta Pops Orchestra
A power packed evening of stellar musicianship and holiday spirit. From the hit songs, driving instrumentals and award-winning harmonies of Balsam Range to Chloë Agnew of Celtic Woman's Irish folk songs, holiday favorites and originals and holiday tunes of John Driskell Hopkins of Zac Brown Band from his album In the Spirit: a Celebration of the Holiday with the Atlanta Pops, this collaborative group along with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra conducted by Jason Altieri bring the holiday to life.
The fabulous four bring their history and star power to the stage in an endearing, emotional, fun and heartfelt evening of everything holiday and more. The Atlanta Pops Orchestra with their 77-year history proves to be a delightful backdrop for the bluegrass and 'new grass' of Balsam Range, the Irish sentiment and delightful personality of Chloë Agnew and the heartfelt growl and signature sound of 'HOP'. The Atlanta Pops, Balsam Range, Chloë Agnew and John Driskell Hopkins join together with traditional, fun-filled, classic holiday music such as Balsam Range's rendition of The First Noel and a traditional bluegrass instrumental of Jingle Bells, Chloë Agnew and Balsam Range's IBMA male vocalist of the year, Buddy Melton with a soaring rendition of O Holly Night and the spirited combo of Chloë Agnew and John Driskell Hopkins with a unique twist to Baby It's Cold Outside.
'Mountain Holiday" will leave you with a holiday warmth and spirit-filled heart. A terrific beginning to the holiday season

Balsam Range boasts such a wide variety of music styles. They can play straight ahead driving bluegrass and then swap up to Americana Ballads. This is a fantastic group with very unique harmonies.

Bluegrass
Based in Haywood County, North Carolina, Balsam Range consists of five men native to this region “where the Smokies meet the Blue Ridge.”
Bluegrass says a lot of what this band is about, but equally important are the aspects of Gospel and Country Music. All the guys in the band grew up in the rich musical heritage of the Appalachian South, surrounded by culture and heritage steeped in traditions of The Grand Ole Opry…as well as the important influences of the Scotch-Irish settlers of the Southern Mountains, English ballads, Western songs…and tunes written by the band members themselves.
