I really enjoyed how Jessie interacted with the audience. The music was rocking! The band and she were able to really deliver on the requested music. I was sorry I had to leave before I could hear her song, "That's What Mommas Are For."

Jessie Wilson Biography
Phenix City, Alabama native Jessie Wilson is not your typical singer-songwriter. With a raw and natural talent for music, she left behind a career as an elementary teacher to embark on a journey that would see her grace stages with some of the industry's biggest names.
From humming melodies at just two weeks old, Jessie's parents quickly recognized her extraordinary gift. Despite not coming from a family of musicians, her deep and emotional connection with music was evident from the very beginning. At the age of 17, she taught herself to play the guitar, and from there, she couldn't keep her passion contained within the walls of her bedroom any longer.
Jessie Wilson's music defies easy categorization, blending elements of alt-country, folk, and acoustic singer-songwriter styles. Jessie will tell you that she is “awful at describing her sound”, but with one listen to her music, you'll understand why she doesn't need to put her art into a box; it simply speaks for itself. She counts artists like Morgan Wade, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBryde, Lainey Wilson, Kacey Musgraves, and many more as sources of inspiration.
In March of 2023, Jessie Wilson released her debut EP as an independent artist, produced by the renowned David Dorn. The EP has garnered praise from many press releases, who've described her music as "a breathtaking blend of soulful storytelling and haunting melodies that cut straight to the heart" and "a refreshing take on the alt-country and folk genres, with lyrics that resonate with authenticity and vulnerability."
Jessie's journey has taken her far beyond her Alabama roots. She has had the honor of opening for country giants like Jamey Johnson and John Driskell Hopkins (of Zac Brown Band), and she's lent her powerful voice to sing the national anthem at shows headlined by Craig Morgan and Gary Allan. She's also shared the stage with notable artists such as Adam Hood, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Trey Lewis, Tommy Emmanuel, with many more promising collaborations to come.
As Jessie Wilson continues to craft her unique musical narrative, her fans eagerly anticipate the next chapter of her journey. With her exceptional talent, heartfelt lyrics, and genre-blurring sound, Jessie is poised to make an indelible mark on the music industry. Her story is one of authenticity, passion, and an unrelenting dedication to the art of storytelling through song. Jessie is currently collaborating with other songwriters in Nashville, playing shows, recording new music for 2025, and planning her debut tour for next year.
