I was at the Bonamassa concert in Seattle. I have listened to this artist for many years and love his work in the blues and rock. No question he is a great artist and I admire that he has control of his work and concerts. Having said that, this concert was a disappointment because the volume was so high that there was lots of distortion, my ears were ringing and it was uncomfortable. We had seats in the back which may have increased the distortion. I am a senior citizen, but in my younger days, have attended concerts with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, James Taylor, Eric Clapton and others but it has never been this loud. Respectfully, please turn it down a little, so we can enjoy your fabulous talent. Thank you.

Joe Bonamassa Premiere Theater At Foxwoods Casino, Ledyard, Conn. March 1st, 2025 Did Bonamassa’s recent performance at the Grammy’s take the chip off his shoulder? Not a chance. But he’s still the king of the blues guitarists, with a commanding tone reminiscent of Free’s Paul Kossoff. His sublime taste in covers included Guitar Slim’s Well I Done Got Over It and soared on Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland’s 24 Hour Blues. He removed his trademark shades briefly before strapping on a Telecaster and tearing through Led Zep’s How Many More Times. His take on Freddie King’s Pack It Up had as much power as the Texas Cannonball himself. The Heart That Never Waits made worthy use of backup vocalists Jade McCray and Danielle DeAndrea. Some of JB’s grouchiness surfaced when the entire crowd of 3,600 didn’t immediately stand for keyboardist Reese Wynans’s intro. “What do ya all have gout? C’mon!” That did the trick. Encore, Mountain Time, from 2002’s breakthrough, So, It’s Like That, glided from heavy riffage to quiet passages that hushed the audience. The dinging slot machines didn’t come close to drowning out a show with no filler. Christopher Walsh

What else would you expect to hear from best musician on the planet… Joe warmed up slowly and followed to absolutely fucking explode… changed guitar between and in some cases like at the end of encores he started How Many More Times by Zep with a Gibson and about half way through he picked up a Strat and tore the place down. Last song for encore, he talked for a bit about his band complaining and bitching about last song… he said they normally do goin down, he put his foot down and said Mountain Time… slow to explodes … great night
