Grand National is a rap artist from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He recorded his first song in 2008 while a student at the University of Central Oklahoma. Grand National’s sound can be considered southern with influences from independent artists like Curren$y, Freddie Gibbs, Smoke Dza, Ab Soul, Nipsey Hussle, and Dom Kennedy. Grand National collaborated with Tulsa rapper, Dial Tone, to release The Chosen Few in April of 2014. The mixtape was released on Livemixtapes.com and contained the singles “Middle of the Map”, “Life Imitating Art”, and “Tour De France”. Grand National has been featured on Tom Tuckers’ Growing Pains, Dial Tone’s Live from Utica, and Continental Cudd’s Under Radar mixtape. Grand National is currently working on his solo project, Grand Prix.
