Edo & Jo are acclaimed Australia/India based mantra musicians and singer/songwriters. For the past six years they have toured extensively throughout Australia, South-East Asia and India. Their music is an enchanting mix of Eastern mantra and Western pop that is both soothing and uplifting. Edo Kahn was previously signed with Virgin/EMI with his rock bands Gelbison and Kahn Brothers, and is an APRA award-winning songwriter. Jo Mall Kahn is a singer-songwriter, classically trained musician and a qualified yoga teacher. Their music was recently aired on ABC Radio National (November 2013) with a feature piece on their spiritual journey and the power of chanting (listen here). Edo & Jo have played at many conscious events and festivals, including The Conscious Club opening the night for Deepak Chopra, 1 Giant Mind Mass Meditation (Bali), and headlined Australia’s major yoga festivals, including Uplift Festival (2014), Byron Spirit Festival (2012, 2013), Sydney Spirit Festival (2013) and Bhakti Bliss (2013) which featured The Gyuto Monks, Dave Stringer, Jai Uttal and Deva Premal. They have played at Bali Spirit Festival (2014) and held monthly residencies at Ubud Yoga Barn Bali (2012-2014). Kirtan Alive, their first album, was released in 2012 and is one of Australia’s best selling yoga music CDs.
