Wow, what a fucking show! Played two songs from almost every album, plus most of De Mysteriis and Deathcrush. Almost 20 songs in all. Amazing! Hellhammer has ungodly stamina!

Great Show all bands were great Mayhem always delivers, and for Mortiis you just can stop watching and relaxing while he's playing he's well worth seeing.

The show was amazing, was the first show I've ever been to but was totally worth it, the performance was amazing, and the band members kept going, even though there were technical difficulties and a situation that happened in the crowd, they kept playing. They are a big influence on the music I like and I loved the show.

My review has many parts. The TLDR is that Mayhem was and is amazing to see live. Everything else was a disaster and I put that on Decibel Magazine/the openers not the Mayhem. Experience: 3/10 I had ordered my tickets for this in December. I like many received an email from seetickets.us stating that the event timetable had been moved up. Instead of 5:30pm doors open and 6:30 show start, it was 5pm door and 5:30 start. That didn't happen at all. I juggled something around and got there around 4:15pm and didn't actually get in until 6:30-40. I don't know what happened there. But the openers didn't help. The Openers: New Skeletal Faces: Music: 5/10 Performance: 7/10 This band is what happens when a music label sees the success of Black Vailed Brides and tries to clone it badly. I saw tons of roadies and support personnel that rivaled the main act's team for music that wound you up and didn't actually go anywhere. It wasn't even super technical and was aggravated watching them. Imperial Triumphant: Music: 7/10 Performance: 7/10 I actively don't listen to openers ahead of time because I want to give them a fair shot. No bias. I sat in line for two hours with a lady who was a huge fan of theirs and raved. After watching wish.com Black Veil Brides, I was praying for something much better. I got Avande Gard. It's clear this band had an apparatus too but actually play and was very Experimental. The kind musicians and music geeks love but I'm as a normie not into. Ok but did nothing. Mortis: Music: 7/10 Performance: -------9 Billion Worst concert of my life. Seriously. Even worse than reverb at the Middle East basement. Worse than getting into a fight with a drunk old dude at Cannibal Corpse. Those were something. These two guys brought absolutely nothing. It's music so it's not the first opener. But it's a boring durge on a synth and fucking band refused to speak to or interact with the audience at all. I hate band like this.

The best performance by Mayhem that I’ve seen yet. They were on top of their game - very tight and deep down in it, creating a continuous through-current of tornadic crescendo-oriented black metal that unified their newest and oldest material. This incarnation of the band is their tightest and most fully conscious of the archetypal power they possess - and able to wield it at will.

It took me 40 years before my first Mayhem concert. I was not at all surprised how powerful and skilled the band is, but I was not prepared for the way I reacted to it. This was was pure energy and an honest meeting with death and the dark. Extremely powerful, and I loved it.

Es war eine Reise in die Zeit des guten, alten SchwarzMetall's...sehr gewaltiger Sound. Necrobutcher und der Hellhammer konnten mal wieder überzeugen. Die Band ist es immer wert...

Mayhem never dissapoints, incredible show!!!. Was splitted in three parts, new era, De mysteries dom sathanas era and Deathcrush era. Sound quality could be better on new era, guitars and bass are difficult to distinguish but when they played DMDS was perfect!!! Finally they played Deathcrush songs and they level up the show and all people. Note: You couldn't see Hellhammer because was hidden behind the drums but you could feel his incredible execution

This was my third time seeing Mayhem -- the other two times were during the De Mysteriis tours when they performed the album in its entirety. Everytime was amazing. This particular show, however... it takes the cake. I have no words for how absolutely mind blowing it was. Mayhem played for about an hour and a half, and performed every song I could only dream of hearing live. Up until now. Skip school, quit your part-time job, say you can't make it to the funeral of your father's aunt's grandma's brother... DO WHATEVER YOU CAN TO SEE MAYHEM ON THIS TOUR!

Awesome. Finally in Houston. Last saw them way back in Norway in 2005. (Too long) They're super tight. Attila comes off as a demented cardinal from hell in his cloak getup. An expanded set due to Watain missing the tour, so got everything you wanted and more. Midnight also killed it as an opener. \m/

Absolutely insane! A religious experience, with Satan. Midnight opened with crazy energy. Mayhem is beyond any black metal I've seen. I always enjoy shows at the summit. A great show in a premier venue.

it was my first show. I met Necrobutcher and Hellhammer. Attila gave me a signed pigs head. Euronymous and Dead were there too, but they only played on Necrolust.

Concert génial de la part de Gaal et Mayhem, bemol sur le son des guitares de Mayhem et surtout, surtout sur les lights omniprésent dans le dos des zicos donc on ne les voit jamais ! (Environ une vingtaine de light derriere et deux en façade)

I hope more black metal bands come to US. Mayhem was the first Norwegian Black Metal concert I've ever been to and it was amazing. Would see them again anytime.

absolutely awesome! Watain was unreal and ofcourse the true MayheM was just wicked! Good to see a good black metal show come through SLC!

Insane! I didn't think I'd have the chance to see them in the U.S. again. They certainly did not disappoint. It was an excellent performance.
