David D'Alessio

Hawaiian, Arizonan and now Manhattanite-- singer/songwriter David D’Alessio is a marinade of irresistible hooks and big ideas. He has drawn comparisons to his geographic counterparts: the "Jack Johnson of the Southwest"; a voice with the "plaintive heights of Damien Rice"; "tenor reminiscent of Duncan Sheik." He has also toured extensively- nationally/internationally- on the success of his previous Songs to Undress Your Ego, opening for the best in his class : Colby Calliat, Brett Dennon, Missy Higgins, Lifehouse and many others. Following that tour and looking for greener (albeit greyer) pastures, D’Alessio moved to New York City. In 2012, he teamed up with Brooklyn producer Felix McTeigue (Sami.The.Great., 28 North) to record Some Girls (802 Media Group). For inspiration, D'Alessio canvassed the streets of NYC, photographing and filming it’s women for his latest album cover.
