Charlie Muscle

Charlie Muscle was born and raised in Sacramento, California on October 8 1987. His main stake within the city was to keep deeply educated and well rounded. Starting at age 8, he began his passion for music within hip-hop, taking influence of many soul and R&B artists. His major influence came from his older cousin, Perkzilla, who was killed in the summer of 2005. Following the hard hit, he continued to persue his musical endeavors with hope to get the voice of Perkins heard. In 2006, he had been stricken with the news that his father suffered from cancer, and was left to care for the only father he ever would know. In 2008, his father passed away. In the following years, he battled with family issues, financial troubles, marriage, and even parenthood himself. He finally emerged to the scene in 2011 with a few hot 16's to showcase to the world that he has arrived. In March of 2013, he was given the opportunity to be a part of Sky Music Group, a fast-growing independent label, to create and grow from the vast hardships as an independent artist. Within his lyrical content, we are still able to undergo his hardships with family and friends, finances, and more with him as the stories unfold. He continues to press forward with every coming project, with the potential to be a great. He has been a Teambackpack Finalist on a number of occasions, has done many youtube cyphers, has performed with well-known artists like Bubba Sparxxx, JG MadeEmLook, Bobby Brackins and more. With the help and love within Sky Music Group, we feel he has set himself to have a promising future ahead of him.
