Unglaublich genial... Toller Sound und gute Show...
Münster, Germany@RARE GUITAR
About Black Lung
In the brutally cold winter of 2014, Black Lung emerged from Baltimore with serious volume. This trio of Adam Bufano, Elias Schutzman (both founding members of The Flying Eyes) and multi-instrumentalist Dave Cavalier, have crafted a sound on the threshold between melody and heaviness. They chose to eschew a bass guitarist, instead filling in their sonic palette with extra amps, drop tuning and copious fuzz pedals. After releasing Black Lung's self-titled debut and being named "Best New Band" by the Baltimore City Paper, they embarked on a their first European tour in 2015, including a performance at the Rockpalast Crossroads Festival on German national television. Their sophomore album, See The Enemy, was produced by J. Robbins (guitarist and frontman for post-punk icons Jawbox; producer for The Sword and Clutch) and released in 2016, with a subsequent European tours hitting Freak Valley Festival and Desert Fest Belgium, alongside the likes of Graveyard, Dead Meadow and All Them Witches. After several years of touring and songwriting, Black Lung is back with their most ambitious work yet, Ancients, produced by Frank "The Punisher" Marchand (producer of The Obsessed's Sacred). The title has a double edged meaning, paying homage to the ancient powers of the earth while rejecting the ancient ideals of men who want to drag society back into the past. Coming in early spring of 2019 on Noisolution (Europe) and Ripple music (North America, Asia, Australia).
