Nick & Simon

Nick Schilder (6 november 1983) and Simon Keizer (16 may 1984) are two singing friends who live in the village Volendam in The Netherlands. This is where famous Dutch bands BZN and The Cats are coming from as well. Best known solo artist from Volendam is Jan Smit, who is a good friend of Nick and Simon.

Before they started as a duo, Nick and Simon played in the band of Jan Smit. Simon Keizer is also composer for quite some Jan Smit songs, including the top 3 hitsingle "Laura".

Nick & Simon also participated in the Dutch Pop Idol. Nick reached the eleventh position and Simon had to leave in the qualifying rounds. After that adventure they started working on their own repetoire.

In 2006 their first self-titled album was released, which made it straight into the top 10 in the charts in the first week.
After the success of the first album, they came with a new album "Vandaag". This album became platina and had the hitsingles "Kijk Omhoog", "Pak maar mijn Hand", "Rosanne" en "Hoe Lang". Rosanne is even on number 1 in de Sterren.nl top 100 van 2008. In 2008 they also had a theatertour and that tour was a big success. In 2009 they come with a new single "Vallende Sterren" and in Februar they will release their third album "Luister". And there will also be a new theatertour.
