Dave Gunning

Everything about this show was top notch! Dave Gunning is a tribute to Canada and the Canadian population. His songs resonate with the history of the east coast and environmental issues that various communities have faced. Mixed in with that are light, humorous songs that get audiences involved. Dave cannot be surprised that we participants know the words…we listen to them all the time, and so enjoy being included as fellow singers in his concerts. Thank you Dave for sharing your songs with the west coast. We look forward to future concerts wherever they may be.

Dave Gunning is a superb entertainer. He’s funny, personable, humble, and a heck of a great songwriter & storyteller. With his long-time friend, JP Cormier, they make a great act and play off and with each other perfectly. I’ve been a long-time Gunning fan, and never tire of his songs and stories and humour. Don’t miss these guys if you get the chance to see them!

Who would have thought that Dave would be playing the next town over from us in the US. We met Dave 20 years ago on Prince Edward Island at the Trail Side Cafe. He and JP are a wonderful duo. The staff at the show we super friendly and a great little venue to watch a show.

Windsor Nova Scotia's Mermaid Theatre was full as Dave Gunning, JP Cormier and Terra Spencer played their hearts out for us last Saturday night. It was so nice hearing musicians respectfully using the name of Jesus Christ on a secular stage, along with the beautifully-played and sung carols they performed at the concert end! Dave is really funny! Congratulations to them all...I wouldn't miss them. One of my favourite concerts of all time!

Entertaining, comical and heartfelt entertainment. Seniors at my front table who didn’t even know these two, ( Dave Gunning & JP Cormier), walked away with a great appreciation for not only world class musicians but for phenomenal East Coast humility and humour.

Dave Gunning is an incredible performer. He is also an amazing guitarist. His songs are a collection of warm personable stories. A thoroughly enjoyable show. Looking forward to seeing him again soon!

Awesome concert, Dave outdid himself with the stories and songs!! And amazing sound in this old church venue! I took my 10 and 7.5 year old grandchildren and they really loved the songs too!!
