Exotica

Exotica is Julien Galner and Clara Cometti. They met in Paris 5 years ago, their respective bands Chateau Marmont and Koko Von Napoo often shared the same bill. They quickly discover that they have a lot in common, especially regarding their musical and cinema tastes. But at the time, they are too busy to find the time needed for this project and it just doesn’t happen. Two years later, Clara now writes music on her own and has much more time and energy to dedicate to Exotica, the timing is good, at last. They spend days and nights in the studio, writing, arranging, producing; Flairs giving a hand for the bass parts. Their first EP Désorbitée is the result of two years of work and they have already started to work on the album. Ces derniers se rencontrent à Paris il y a 4 ans. Leurs groupes respectifs Château Marmont et Koko Von Napoo partagent souvent la même affiche. Ils se découvrent peu à peu de nombreux points communs et décident de faire quelque chose ensemble, mais le temps leur manque et le projet tombe à l’eau. Deux ans plus tard, ils en reparlent, Clara travaille maintenant en solo, elle a plus de temps et ils décident de s’y mettre sérieusement. Ils font tout à deux. Ecriture, arrangement, production. Désorbitée et Conte d’Eté sont les premiers morceaux issus de cette collaboration. Flairs y vient leur prêter main forte à grands coups de basse slappée.
