Ronn Moss

Born in 1977, the Classic rock band, PLAYER, featuring original founding member, RONN MOSS, vocals, bass, guitar garnered several top 40 hits, including their most known #1 single, “Baby Come Back.”Following that was another top 10 single “This Time I’m in it For Love.”PLAYER is back touring with a new lineup as, Ronn Moss' ’PLAYER.

Ronn Moss and his longtime childhood friend, John Friesen had been playing in bands together since they were young teenagers growing up in Hollywood, CA. Ronn’s manager introduced them to a couple of transplants, JC Crowley from Texas and Peter Beckett from Liverpool, England and together PLAYER was formed in 1977.

Robert Stigwood quickly signed PLAYER to RSO records where they toured with, Gino Vannelli, Boz Scaggs, Eric Clapton, Heart and Kenny Loggins and Little River Band, as well as, headlining their own concerts. The original band members went their separate ways in 1981 and Ronn, at Robert Stigwood’s encouragement, decided to try his hand at acting.
Ronn quickly landed his first movie, “Il Paladini” filmed in Sicily and Italy, followed by a handful of movies before landing his most recognized role, as the original Ridge Forrester on the CBS television series, “The Bold and the Beautiful” for 25 years that gave him worldwide recognition.

During his tenure as Ridge Forrester, Moss continued to record music with Peter Beckett and in 1995 as PLAYER, the two original band mates released, ‘Lost In Reality” and a version for Japan called, “Electric Shadow.” They performed concerts in Los Angeles, but Moss’ shooting schedule on “The Bold and The Beautiful” didn’t allow much time for proper touring, so few weekends became the touring schedule.

In early 2000, Moss and Beckett released, “The Best of PLAYER,” in addition to Moss’ first solo album, “I’m Your Man.” Moss then toured for the first time in Australia with great reception and released another solo album in 2006 entitled, “Uncovered,” and did his second tour of Australia.

After 25 years on the “The Bold and The Beautiful,” Moss decided it was time to tour PLAYER. In 2012 Moss & Beckett started touring again as PLAYER. Following an appearance on General Hospital’s famed “Nurses Ball,” the duo embarked on an Australian tour in 2014, a ‘Sail Rock Tour” with Christopher Cross, Firefall and Orleans, followed by the “Rock the Yacht" tour in 2015 with Ambrosia and Little River Band and the first “Rock and Romance Cruise of the 70s” in 2017, which had PLAYER touring with America and Peter Frampton among other classic rock favorites.

Ronn became much more in demand as a solo artist and began performing in Belgium in the fall of 2017 and is now embarking on solo tours in Australia, Italy and other parts of Europe in the Spring/Summer of 2019. His solo performances include, classic PLAYER songs, as well as, music from his solo albums, including his latest release, “My Baby’s Back.” In addition to music and acting, Ronn is also a four time Emmy award winning producer on the hit Amazon Prime series, “The Bay,” in which he plays the badass character John Blackwell.

The current lineup for Ronn Moss’ PLAYER includes longtime PLAYER keyboardist, Jawn Star, Jimmy Carnelli on drums and a surprise guitarist that will be announced in the new year! Moss will embark on an extensive solo world tour starting with Australia in March 2019 and kicking off Europe in Italy in the summer of 2019. Ronn Moss' PLAYER dates will be in late 2019.
