About Skelecta
South West London’s Skelecta is somebody that has been pushing the boundaries of Bass music for a while now. Coming to light with his debut EP ‘Sublow (Drop It)’ on Four40 Records in 2012, a tune which was picked up very quickly by the likes of B Traits, Plastician, My Nu Leng, Taiki Nulight, DJ Barely Legal, Seb Chew & more, followed by a “Ones to watch for 2013 shout out by B Traits on BBC Radio 1alongside the likes of French Fries, Last Japan, Taiki Nulight & others, the 22 year old has continued to create a buzz in the bass and grime scene for the last 5 years with his unique take on garage, dubstep, bass & grime. 2015’s Collaboration with Birmingham’s Hybrid Theory ‘Big Bad Wolf’ saw Skelecta launch his new sound & gained him support from chart-toppers Gorgon City, Thump Magazine, Sian Anderson, Redlight, Mike Delinquent and more. The Jackin’ Anthem was then followed by “Who’s the Hardest” a heavy-hitting grime instrumental & later another grime / bassline release ‘I Want / Too Late’ with Terrorrythm’s Glacci, cementing a new sound that worked across all genres that would be known as his own as he went on to release the Nang EP ft. Flava D & other collaborations and remixes with the likes of Endor, Distro, Notion & more.
Also, not one to be unfamiliar with two decks and a mixer, Skelecta has DJ'd at many events and festivals around Europe, such as; Horizon Festival, as well as many others across Germany, Italy, France, Austria, Belgium, The Netherlands & Czech Republic, whilst also having DJ’d for such established grime acts as Jammz, AJ Tracey, The Square, Kozzie, Big Zuu & more.
