The Younger

Combining modern melodic rock with the stratospheric sounds of stadium rocks heyday, The Younger are a band out with something to prove. Formed in 2012 the band would spend valuable time finding and honing their sound. Inspired by expansive arena rock, absent in the mainstream landscape, coupled with hook laden emotive pop, recording demos for the first EP became the priority. Soon after, the band finalised the track listing which would make up their debut EP ‘If Not Now Never’ a statement of commitment and reckless abandon in name and nature. The Younger have had an exceptional first year and their grandioso rock-pop hybrid see’s them champion a refreshingly inspirational sound and ethos. Their debut commercial EP, ‘Have Hope’, is their ‘Ode To Positivity’; it’s a collection of anthems for the ‘glass half full’ people. From the polished vocals of Daniel Lawrence, to the euphoric guitar and keyboard work, right down to the vigorous rhythm section, these seven tracks have common ground in a backbone that exudes optimism. This outlook has not gone unnoticed and subsequently has seen the band’s music used in syncs for Sky Sports programming, including use on Netbusters, as well as during the Scottish Cup Semi-final earlier this year. International brand Sinstar Clothing also deemed their music worthy of launching its summer 2013 range as a soundtrack to the accompanying promotional video. Having had radio exposure which includes an impressive six week stint on the Q Radio ‘New To Q’ playlist, this new campaign handled by Hart Media (Radio only) will see them leading with EP track, ‘Say My Name’. With Live Agent CAA on-board The Younger went forward in the latter half of 2013 adding slots at Hard Rock Calling and Takedown Festivals as well as November’s Vans Warped Tour UK. The band embarked on a 12 date UK headline tour to finish the year, ending with a sold-out headline show at the London Barfly.
