About Matik
Matik is a Dutch formation from Amsterdam starring Niels (beats and synths), Peter (vocals), Maarten (guitar) and Sajoscha (bass). For the last few months they've been working together intensively on their music. The style: pumping beats, raw guitars, catchy electro blending with unique vocals, creating uplifting music. Think Soulwax, Lcd soundsystem, Softcell and Iggy Pop.
Matik has played several times at the Amsterdam Sugar factory and were a special live act at the latest fashion show of Bas Kosters. Matik won this year the Amsterdam Pop Award 2006 and are picked up as interesting newcomer by VPRO - 3voor12.
