Emmet is a virtuoso. It is a privilege to get a chance to see him perform in person. The entire trio are consummate musicians, and play creative, straight-ahead jazz to perfection.
The venue was absolutely perfect in size and design, with an excellent pre-show space for snacks, cocktails, and live jazz in an attractive courtyard space adjacent to the entrance. This was an enjoyable evening altogether.

As a 70 year old Jazz Drummer coming from a musical family. Dad was a Jazz Pianist and Mom was a singer. I have been quite concerned and disappointed with complete lack of talent with today's noise they praise, award, promote and overpay for. The fact that Emmet has not only a complete understanding of the musical form, but an incredible unsupassed mastery of the keyboard. His rare talent and choice of top tier musicians to accompany him do in fact take you on that magical journey of the true American Music Art Form, Jazz. There isn't anything he cannot play. Looking forward to seeing him again.

The performance was AMAZING!! We saw Emmet, Phillip and Terell on the Botti at Sea cruise and were so excited to see them again a month later in Sarasota (we live in Punta Gorda.) Although the Sarasota venue felt more like a high school auditorium, the music more than made up for the lack of elegance of the venue. We thought the cruise was amazing, but the music at this event far exceeded our expectations. Terell Stafford absolutely SHREDDED the trumpet.(you mild mannered devil, you.) Joe Farnsworth, an absolute delight and Phillip Norris (go NC!) is a young treasure. Thank you for the intro to the Gustav Viehmeyer Trio featuring Joscho Stephan (we are new fans of both), and the unique voice (yet somewhat familiar?)of Gabrielle Cavassa. We bask in the after-glow of the evening…still in awe of the talent. And…dear Emmet, the philosopher., we agree, these opportunities bring everything that is good together and we are also so grateful.
