Nichols is a great arranger and player, and his songwriting is unafraid to live in the darkness that underlies the blues. His rasp, and Spencer Tate's mandolin and violin voicing, really works well with the resonator + slide sound, on both his originals and covers. "The kind of suffering that created the blues is not the natural state of the world if you ask me. It ought not be. It is just the result of greed. And we could do something about that if we care enough."

Buffalo is an amazing guitarist and puts on a great show. He played blues. He played Bluegrass. He played country all in his own excellent fashion. Well worth the price of admission!

Loved the concert, and the Turf Club is one of my favorite venues!

Loved his set. Super talented guitarist. Will definitely try and catch one of his other shows.
