Steely Dead

Steely Dead absolutely crushed it for me and my son on March 16, 2025, at The Broadberry! Several standout moments showed how they took it to another level. "One More Saturday Night was upbeat, clean, and rocking; it’s like they polished up the Dead’s raw energy with a Steely Dan sheen, and it can catches you off guard in the best way. Dave Abear’s guitar and Chris Sheldon’s drums probably kicked into overdrive there, with Dylan Teifer’s keys adding that extra punch we loved. "Feel Like a Stranger" is a highlight track with Teifer’s stage presence—he’s got a knack for locking into the crowd’s vibe, and that song’s funky, wandering groove is prime territory for his leads to shine. "Dear Prudence" is another highlight. Taking the Beatles through a Dead-meets-Dan lens is no small feat, and the venue’s sound system made those layers pop. Then "Dirty Work" as the encore? That’s a bold, soulful closer—Teifer’s keys gave it a fresh spin while the band brought the house down. We went in expecting fun but got blown away—I love that. It’s remarkable how they exceeded our expectations, from the musicianship to the song choices.

These guys are so much fun! Very talented musicians and great guys! Mashing up two of our favorite bands. Thank you. Come back East again soon!

Caught them in Boulder last summer and glad to see them again closer to home. An excellent sampling of both back catalogs, and inspired performances. I appreciated that the venue wasn’t just SRO—I find being on my feet all night is kinda rough!

Fierce. Seamless jazz rock transitions and overlays of the dan and dead. Absolutely killed kid Charlemagne. These are exceptionally talented artists and obviously awesome people given their GOAT love of the Dan and Dead! Thank you Colorado cousins. Come back soon. Mahalo

Great band in a killer venue. Love the church and the cool vibe from the staff. Great segues. Would love to see these guys again. Will def be a regular at Sanctuary.

Great venue, great food, great sound. Y’all need to rethink the GA-admission situation though… I paid for a nice table, my wife & I had an excellent dinner and a few drinks, (thanks Noah), in anticipation of the show, until…. the entire Men’s US olympic basketball ball team showed up with their dates from the women’s volleyball and decided to stand right in front of our table. If only our southern border had such an impenetrable wall !!! I ended up going outside to watch the show on the TV.

So good!! I smiled and danced the entire night!! This group of guys clearly live what they are doing and have worked hard to perfect this eclectic and brilliant combination of music! Thanks for bringing gong it to the table guys! You have earned yourself another fan! Can’t wait to see steely dead again in the future! More seattle shows please!

Unbelievable musicians who can weave Steely Dan & The Grateful Dead songs in and out and back again seamlessly . Fantastic!

These guys rock some Dead masterfully woven together with Steely Dan songs. They blew me away. I will definitely make it a point ro see them again.

Excellent show! High energy, great sound. Seriously one of the best concerts I've attended. Hard to beat when the band plays tunes from two of my favorite bands.

Music was amazing. But they started at 8pm and were off stage by 10:30 or something ridiculous. The venue was a hot sweaty mess. Almost unbearable. Granted it was a 90degree day but the A/C was insufficient and made the experience less than pleasant. Had I known it would be a hot fast and fun show I would have timed things differently. All revved up and no where to go.

Lulus has a cool vibe and great ambiance. All gifted musicians, Steely Dead merges two iconic bands into one and weaved magical jams that connected both genres of music beautifully together.

I ended up seeing steely dead at Tiki mamas It was fantastic kind of fulfilled a bucket list wish to see Steely Dan music live it was a great venue the people were fun and nice truly enjoyed myself thank you so much

Steely Dead was amazing. They play an impressive set of Dead and Steely Dan and highlight the sonic connection between the bands. The band also seems to be having as much fun as the crowd. The Holding Company is a pretty nice venue although I wish the floor was something other than concrete. The sound was on point and the staff was very friendly.

Met some really nice people. Thanks for putting on the event . We had a great time !
