About Greg Hoy

Plug-in-and-play rock artist Greg Hoy is supporting both the pandemic-made 'Cacophony' vinyl LP release recorded at Oakland CA's legendary Tiny Telephone studio as well as the new 'The Special Party' LP with The Boys. Having worked previously with Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies), Sylvia Massy (Tool, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty), John Vanderslice (Spoon, Nada Surf), and more, Hoy's become somewhat of a critical darling ever since his debut LP earned a spot on the Village Voice NYC's coveted 'Best of' list for 2003. His recent video for 'Can You Take It?' featuring hip hop icon Ice-T earned him a nomination in the CA Music Video Awards. With songwriting that's 'delivered with attitude & wit' (Stepkid), he's released over 30 albums from pop to punk. Divide & Conquor says 'Live, Hoy is like Jack White AND Jack Black rolled into one... I was addicted the first time I heard it' Red Red Wine on a Sunday says 'Hoy's records are deep - like peeling layers off an onion - each song is a revelation!'
