June 2nd 2022
Excellent, intimate venue AMP studio, ideally located in New Cross at the top of Ilderton Road. And a very good show headlining with Salad, featuring the sublimely theatrical vocals/keyboards of Marijne van der Vlugt, fabulous guitar work of Paul Kennedy and newly acquired bass of multi-instrumentalist Jon Hunt. Indie music of a high order through the decades.

About Salad
Salad are a UK-based band formed in London, England in 1992 by Marijne van der Vlugt, Paul Kennedy, Pete Brown and Rob Wakeman.
Salad released their hit debut album Drink Me in 1995 featuring singles Drink the Elixir (which can still be heard cheering up the soundwaves on BBC 6Music) Granite Statue and Motorbike to Heaven.
Follow up Ice Cream (1997) was produced by Donald Ross Skinner, with Charley Stone joining as a live member in 1996. Why are we telling you this? Because they ended up in the band for real when Salad reformed in 2017.
Paul and Marijne started writing together again in 2016 and recorded an album with Donald under the name Salad Undressed, called 'Good Love Bad Love', then gathered the “Lost” tracks intended for the unreleased 90s third album, and released them both through a successful crowdfunding campaign.
The full Salad band got back together to play the Indie Daze Festival 2017 (with Donald taking over the drum role from Rob). A headlining tour followed in April 2018, and a new Salad album is set for release end of August 2019. The Selfishness of Love, the first Salad single in 21 years, was released November 2018 and a brand new single called Under the Wrapping Paper will be out on June 5th 2019. Salad play the Starshaped Festival on Aug 31, Sept 7, 14 and 21.
