David Pascoe

Singer and multi-instrumentalist David Pascoe’s music is at once comfortably old and refreshingly new. His subtly crafted songwriting - along with a polished versatility on fiddle, mandolin, and guitar - combines the warm textures of traditional folk with the playful improvisation of jam and jazz to create a style similar to Tim O’Brien, Sarah Jarosz, and Andrew Bird.

David performs solo and in multiple groups in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Late for the Train (Americana/folk), Eric Long & The Short Tempers (blues/Americana), and Jimbo Scott Band. He was the winner of the 2014 Open Mic Big Stage Competition at Infinity Music Hall in Norfolk, CT, where he later opened for newgrass legend Sam Bush. He is also the co-founder of Every Folk, a 3-day camp for adults to explore traditional folk music and culture.

His 2017 debut solo album, Ordinary Florist, will reawaken your powers of observation. Recorded in New York City over the course of a summer season working on an organic farm in Connecticut, it draws from both a deep love of nature and a fascination at the idiosyncrasies of a bustling metropolis.
