About Narwhal
Two bands under the name Narwhal.
One is:
A five-piece rock band out of Tustin, California. Narwhal has always been about high energy live shows. The five band members - lead vocals/guitar Forrest Devitt, lead guitarist Jarret Killen, bassist Daneger, keyboardist Rick Alvin Schaier, drummer Danny Quesada – wrote new material and played live shows anywhere they could.
2006 proved to be the biggest and best year in the short history of the band Narwhal. Straying from their hometown of Tustin CA, the guys hit the road and never looked back. Armed with their style of infectious rock and unrelenting attitudes, the band earned their stripes playing anywhere between the dingiest of clubs, to sports arenas.
----
the other:
Narwhal is a quintet from London, England that features ex members of Soon the Darkness, After Every Tempest and Sea of Shit.
Narwhal have a 3 track 7" out as a split release between Strictly No Capital Letters, Too Cool To Dance and SuperFi Records, A split Tour MCD with Teeth of Mammals & Kilik. They also appear on the compilation, 'Sounds Like Glass'.
They have a 4 way split 10" record about to be released on Parade of Spectres records with Teeth Of Mammals (PA. US), Pete The Pirate Squid (Berlin. Germany), and Kias Fansuri (KL. Malaysia).
An LP has been recorded and is in the process of being mixed.
Their music, a mixture of Screamo, Post Hardcore and Grind, has been likened to bands like Portraits of Past, City of Caterpillar and other 'early Ebullition Records' era styles.
