Vanessa Silberman

Vanessa Silberman is a singer, songwriter, record producer & label owner from Brooklyn, NY (via Los Angeles, CA).

Her music has drawn comparisons from everyone to the bare bones rawness of Nirvana to the pop appeal and vocal qualities of Lana Del Ray, Chvrches, Sylvan Esso, confidence of St. Vincent as well as authenticity of classic artists such as Patti Smith.

Prior to 2020 Vanessa was widely known through the DIY touring community for playing and booking over 800 shows (between 2015-2020) across the U.S. as well as in the UK and Europe in support of 2 EP’s (Brighter in Bloom & self-titled) and numerous singles (released through her label A Diamond Heart Production), a cassette and a 7” (Resurrection Records / ADHP). Audiofemme.com named the touring singer and guitarist one of the hardest working bands of 2019, 2018 as well as 2017 (as she managed to play over 200 shows that year alone).

In the studio, Silberman has engineered for everyone from Tony Visconti, Kimbra, Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) ft. Kristeen Young to Harper Simon and worked as the in-house assistant engineer at Studio 606 (the Foo Fighters Studio) and has assisted for everyone from Foo Fighters, The Kills, Joan Jett to Blue Traveler, James Williamson (of Iggy Pop and the Stooges) in Los Angeles, CA.

In June 2021 Alternative Press Magazine named her & her label (A Diamond Heart Production) 1 of 11 LGBTQIA+ AND WOMEN-OWNED LABELS THAT ARE CHANGING THE MUSIC INDUSTRY.

On Friday, July 9th 2021 Vanessa will release the powerful anthemic hope filled single ‘Love Will always Find a Way’ .

Her current line up includes actor/musician Ryan Carnes on drums, who’s backup vocals can be heard on various songs. Ryan is also credited for additional production and arrangement on most of the material and collaborates with Vanessa.
