The Mission2Mars

The Mission2Mars is a group of Austin veteran musicians that have come together to flex some songwriting muscle. This is the platform for Jorge Castillo's upcoming solo debut album featuring an all-star backing band of musical compatriots. Matt Giles, also working on his solo debut album, sings and performs his original material as well as handling the lead guitar mastery. Matt Giles is the founding member of favorite Austin musical act the Drakes, of which Jorge is also a long time member. Matthew Lindsey on the bass guitar and Eldridge Goins on drums round out the rhythm section and background vocals. The musical pedigrees of these fine gentlemen is too long to fit on this web page, let's just say there's over a hundred combined years of experience as professional musicians on the stage and it shines through!

This endeavor was designed to work and perform new music that didn't necessarily have a place in other bands we all were in. The album is half completed and work is being done to complete the remaining material. Come and see these songs in progress at our local shows!
