About Eyal Hai

Influenced by jazz harmonies, raw 90s rock, 80s dream pop and middle eastern melodies, it's hard to label Éyal's music to one genre. What ties together this music is his unique voice and the untraditional ways he uses the saxophone, playing it almost like a guitar. The combination of raw explicit lyrics together with colorful melodies and rhythms makes Éyal's music a powerful experience.
A genre bending Artist, Éyal, started his music career at a young age, playing saxophone for different Jazz and Funk groups in Israel. It was at Berklee College of Music where Eyal was mentored by the Grammy Award Winner Danilo Perez, who later invited him to tour with his group. During his time in the U.S Eyal has played in some of the biggest jazz venues such as Blue Note (NY), Dizzy’s Jazz club (NY), Yoshi’s (CA) and Scullers (MA) to name a few. After a long tour Éyal took a break from Jazz music, and began writing new songs which lean more towards the 90s rock and pop he grew up on. He moved to NYC and started experimenting with his music in bars around the city. It is here where he met the musicians and singers featured on his debut E.P "Practicing Catharsis" - that has more than 1M listens and is receiving serious attention.
These days he is working on new material, and getting ready to record his second album.
