Hailing from the Washington, D.C. Metro area and best known for the WHUR-FM Quiet Storm classic, "Anticipation (The Remix)", guiltypleasures bears a soulful sound reminiscent of Eric Benét, Incognito, and Brand New Heavies. Both their 2009 debut album, "lovestories", and their 2015 sophomore release, "cautionarytales", received critical acclaim on SoulTracks.com resulting in multiple Soul Tracks Readers Choice Award and Washington Area Music Association Award nominations. guiltypleasures recently opened for national recording artist, Joe at WHUR’s Pre-Winter Soul Concert.

Bassist Rick White, is the band’s principal writer, arranger and producer, and serves as guiltypleasures’ musical director. Vocalists Kal El Gross, Mycah Chevalier, Bléz and Jerrica White have performed with artists such as El DeBarge, Ledisi, Maysa, Eric Benét, Lalah Hathaway, Rahsaan Patterson, Marsha Ambrosius, Chrisette Michelle, Vivian Green and Kem.
