Sally Davies-Griffith

A Master of Music Studies graduate and inaugural recipient of the Jan Sedivka Scholarship, at the University of Tasmania Conservatorium of Music, Australia, Sally Davies-Griffith has studied under acclaimed musicians within the Australian and European music scenes including Christian Wojtowicz, Richard Dedicius, Don Kay, Professor Jan Sedivka and Peter Tanner.

Hailing from Godonvale in Far North Queensland, Australia, Sally Davies-Griffith first began playing the cello at the age of 7. Her enthusiasm for the cello and passion for classical music were soon apparent and not long after, was in regular demand within the local Far North Queensland music scene. Ranging from critically acclaimed orchestras, chamber music ensembles, performance art collaborations as well as multiple teaching commitments.

Since 2008, Sally Davies-Griffith has been living and actively working within the music scene in both Munich and Germany.

2017 will herald an exciting new chapter as she embarks on fully engaging herself in solo and chamber music concert performances -including her first Germany wide tour as a solo artist, as well as other artistic projects.
