Ryan Zimmerman Music

Ryan Zimmerman is a singer/songwriter from Long Beach Island NJ. He is a roots musician dedicated to his craft of songwriting and performing live. His genre bending style of acoustic funk, reggae, folk, blues, punk rock and americana has been breaking rules of the standard Jersey shore musician for over a decade. Ryan recently got off a fall tour of California. He spent the winter recording with Pete Steinkopf of The Bouncing Souls in Asbury Park and is getting ready to jump on a spring tour of the mid-atlantic states and new england.

Ryan started his music career on the Jersey Shore,where he currently calls home. An avid music fan and performer Ryan draws his influence from early roots performers up to todays consummate guitar players and singers. Breaking away from the typical "jersey shore" musician, his shows reflect his eclectic taste and warm style more akin to a hopped up coffee house performance than a typical bar gig. His windmill rhythmic guitar style is reminiscent of Ritchie Havens and his deep room filling voice summons Mark Sandman. Ryan is also a promoter and well known for building large shows with numerous artists.

Currently gigging and writing , Ryan will be very busy this summer playing residencies and favorite summer spots on the jersey shore and beyond.
