Joe Olnick

Indie/groove guitarist Joe Olnick and his band return with his sixth album of original instrumental compositions, Downtown, released worldwide on October 20, 2017. His latest CD explores the increasingly urban world that he lives in, based in the mid-Atlantic area near both Philadelphia and Baltimore.

Building on the success of last year's Defiant Grooves album, the Joe Olnick Band takes the grooves into more "avant-jam" territory similar to Medeski, Martin & Wood as well as Soulive. The album has been getting solid reviews, and enough independent radio airplay to again hit the college radio charts nationally!
