About New Beginnings

Hailing from the lousy and stereotypical streets of Los Angeles, Edgar Sanchez and Bill Valdez constantly jammed after school in a garage filled with passion and raw energy. With Edgar behind the drum kit and Bill taking on the spot as guitarist, the duo played constant covers usually of Metallica and Pantera. When Edgar's then band disbanded he finally committed full time with Bill and covered a lot more songs than before. They then decided to form a band, wanting to spread their music beyond the garage. This lead to them searching for new members. At the time vocalist Anthony Rodriguez jammed with Ed and Bill, bringing in his voice filled with death growls and high pitched screams while still maintaining a passionate melody with the guitar and drums. Pretty soon his part taking in the vocals became permanent and he was welcomed as vocalist. Looking for more members was a bit challenging for the trio as they searched and searched for a bassist to complete their line-up. Pretty soon Clayton Jefferson who was a former lead guitarist with the former band, "Restrected" was offered the position, which he happily agreed. Now with the line-up complete, the quartet then sought to dominate the masses with their groove influenced guitar work, gun-toting drum work, head bashing bass work and peace destroying vocals. They found the school talent show as their start. After countless practices at Bill's garage, the quartet decided to bring in a rhythm guitarist to make their sound fuller and complete. After searching and asking around, the band welcomed Walter Allen for the spot. At the day of the talent show the band covered Slipknot's "Sulfur" which brought an overwhelming positive reaction from the crowd despite the band winning third place. A few weeks later Walter parted ways with the band due to creative differences. He is still friends with the band and fully supports them. After practicing countless times during the summer, they met former Union 13 guitarist, Jose Mercado. Jose saw something in the band. He loved that they were diverse with their musical influences and have that raw yet passionate energy. He then played as musical father figure for band providing anything he can for the band. Still wanting to have a more complete sound the band searched for another guitarist up for the rhythm spot. Franklin Palacios was then welcomed and performed alongside them in an assembly in the band's own high school. However due to creative differences he parted ways with the band after their performance at Gertz High School. The band then decided to move on as a quartet. They then played at Club Nokia thanks to the huge help from Jose. There they played their hearts out being the only band that was in the metal category. After Club Nokia the band sought to produce original material because they grew tired with constantly playing covers. Wanting a more complete sound again, the band then welcomed Jasiel Mendoza, an old friend and previous member from former band Restrected as rhythm guitarist. Jasiel believed he it was better for him to denounce the offer from X's of Skella and joined New Beginnings. After a while the band decided to change their name because they felt it wouldn't fit the music. They then decided on Genocide. The band felt it fit the music and it's chaotic and violent themes. With the recent name change from "New Beginnings" to "Eulogy For Gaia" and the band's biggest and upcoming gig yet at Chain Reaction, the band's raw and destructive musical fusion will wow and make the audience react with awe as they pursue their musical endeavors into the world that consists of other musicians and talent the band themselves possess. RETURN FROM HIATUS: Eulogy For Gaia is BACK! After a brief hiatus and small line-up change. Eulogy For Gaia is back fror face-melting riffs and mind blowing phrasing. With a now clear thought process Eulogy For Gaia is now hellbent to travel show to show and reveal their arsenal of lightening fast solos and heavy riffage. Expect to see more from us in the near future!
