AJ Castillo

AJ Castillo is a Latin artist known for his unique accordion sound and style, his energetic LIVE performances, and his extraordinary custom accordions. Having lent his musical talent to many artists through countless studio recordings and performances, in late 2008 he felt it was time to step to the front of the stage and introduced a fresh new sound that expands the boundaries of accordion music. From the release of his debut CD in 2009 to his CD in 2014 (Sin Límites) that debuted on Billboard at #15 on the Latin Pop Albums chart (07.26.2014) to his most recent release in 2022, AJ is becoming a well-known accordionist, singer, song writer, performer, and producer.

AJ is a native of Austin, TX, and is a graduate of The University of Texas at San Antonio. Born to a musical family, he was introduced to the accordion by his grandfather. He started playing the accordion at the age of 10 and began his professional music career at 13. Today, this young talented musician is reaching Latin music fans all over the world and is being recognized by professionals in the Latin music industry (as evidenced by his HOHNER, Inc. USA endorsement and his collaboration on the 2017 Latin Grammy Award winning Best Regional Song “Siempre Es Así”).

With the release of each consecutive project, AJ has taken his music to the next level and continues to amaze people with his ability to infuse different styles of music to create his new unique sound. Joining him on this journey is his younger brother and promising vocalist, Sergio Castillo. Sergio brings another level of versatility to the group with his strong vocal ability. Together, they are committed to producing high quality music that can cross boundaries and appeal to fans in all genres of Latin music.

AJ Castillo es un artista Latino conocido por su excepcional sonido y estilo de acordeón, sus conciertos llenos de energía, y sus extraordinarios acordeones personalizados. Haber prestado su talento musical a muchos artistas a través de innumerables grabaciones de estudio y actuaciones en vivo, en 2008 se sintió que era tiempo de dar un paso al frente del escenario y presentó un nuevo sonido fresco que amplía los límites de la música de acordeón. Desde el lanzamiento de su debut CD en 2009 hasta su CD en 2014 (Sin Límites) que debutó en Billboard en la posición #15 de los Latin Pop Albums (07.26.2014) hasta su más reciente lanzamiento, AJ se está convertido en un buen conocido acordeonista, cantante, compositor, artista y productor.

AJ es un nativo de Austin, Texas y graduó de la Universidad de Texas en San Antonio. Nacido en una familia musical, fue presentado al acordeón por su abuelo. Él comenzó a tocar el acordeón a la edad de 10 y comenzó su carrera profesional de la música a los 13 años. Hoy, este músico talentoso está alcanzando a los fanáticos de la música Latina en todo el mundo y está siendo reconocido por los profesionales de la industria de la música Latina (evidenciado por su HOHNER, Inc. USA endoso y su colaboración en la canción “Siempre Es Así” que gano el 2017 Latin Grammy por La Mejor Canción Regional Mexicana).

Con el lanzamiento de cada proyecto consecutivo, AJ ha llevado su música al siguiente nivel y sigue asombrando a la gente con su habilidad para infundir diferentes estilos de música para crear su nuevo sonido único. Junto a él en este viaje es su hermano más joven y vocalista prometedor, Sergio Castillo. Sergio trae otro nivel de versatilidad al grupo con su capacidad vocal fuerte. Juntos, ellos están comprometidos a producir música de alta calidad que puede cruzar las fronteras y atractivo para los aficionados en todos los géneros de la música Latina.
