The Doo Wop Project

Have seen them 20+ times but this was the first time for their Christmas show. Fantastic. They never disappoint.

I first saw the DWP on PBS. We loved them. We were so excited to find that they had a show in our area. The show was GREAT! The choreography was outstanding. If you like Doo Wop and Oldies, you’ll really be missing out if you don’t see them.

The Doo Wop Project were wonderful and the theater excellent. Will definitely try to attend more performances at the theater.

This is the second time I have gone to see them . They just keep getting better !!!!! Fabulous !!Overall, they are beyond the best!

Took my mother for the 4/22 show and she really enjoyed it. I also enjoyed the old songs as well as the doowop remakes of the more current songs. All the singers had good personalities and engaged the audience. The band was really good as well

The concert was great! This is the second time we've seen The Doo Wop Project, this was a different venue, and they were great!

The Doo Wop Project was absolutely fantastic! We loved every moment. Their harmonies were spot on and individually perfect! I cannot wait to see them again!

I have been a follower of 1950's and 1960's music since 1958 when my friend & I hitch hiked 60 miles to attend a Allen Freed show in Hartford, Connecticut. We met Alan and told him of our adventure. We were invited to and interviewed on his live New York TV show similar to Bandstand. Well it's now 60+ years later and I still attend and enjoy Reunion/Tribute type shows at the local Patchogue Theatre and others several times a year. The Doo Wop Project are among the best at performing Doo Wop, Mowtown, Four Seasons and more with their own unique arrangements, energy and perfection plus sound. They deserve a lot of credit in keeping the past musical history present and were loved by the audience. On top of everything with 2 more New York area appearances back to back from this Friaday engagement they took the time to meet & greet with their fans before calling it a night. It was our third year in a row to see them and they always have such a good show.Nothing like Doo Wop music,it takes us to a happy time,a time of peace and innocence.These guys are so nice and talented at the same time.We missed Dewyne Cooper being with them on this show,don’t know if he was sick or is back on broadway.Don’t pass up an opportunity to see this show.

Having seen the group on PBS I knew this would be a good show. But live was fantastic. What great talents these guys are. They had fun as did the audience. Even though the band was not large it filled the hall with sound. Some of the show content was seen on PBS (fine with me) but there were lots of additions including a country song reworked for doo wop which was great fun. Underneath it all was an appreciation for the roots of R & B, i.e., the street corner harmony sounds of Doo Wop. It was amazing how they often sounded exactly like the original groups. Don't miss these guys. You never know when Broadway might scoop them up again.

This was a standing ovation performance from a group of guys, they all met and performed in Broadway shows, that want to keep Doo Wop alive as well as Motown and other favorites. Excellent music from a 4 piece band accompany these men while they swing, spin and giddy up across the stage. You can't take your eyes off of them as they transport you to a different time. I have already checked their schedule to see where else they will be because I will be going again.

The Doo Wop Project was phenominal. Their talent is beyond belief. They performed songs from the 60s thru the Jersey Boys and beyond. If I could rate them a 10. I would. Hope to see them again
