JACKIE ONASSIS are quite possibly the best kept secret in Aussie hip-hop. Comprising of vocalist Kai Tan and producer Raph Dixon, Jackie Onassis are the newest members of the One Day crew, a collective comprised of Horrorshow, Spit Syndicate and Joyride. JACKIE ONASSIS weaves a spare, sinewy musicality and razor sharp lyricism; innovating without even meaning to. “We keep getting all these people saying how different we sound,” says Raph, “But we didn’t even realise we were doing it!” Kai adds, “We didn’t intentionally decide to be ‘out of the box’ or weird, we were just making music that we’d like to listen to.” Turns out, a lot of other people liked it too. JACKIE ONASSIS released a free EP Holiday online which got shared around - a lot – with single, ‘Crystal Balling’ catching the attention of triple J and BBC 1 in the UK. Having already supported ARIA award winning hip-hop artist ILLY in 2013, the boys have been invited back on the road for his national tour through March 2014 cementing the reputation for JACKIE ONASSIS’ very impressive live show.
