DJ Joey Catz

Joey Catz started DJ'ing in 1997 at the age of 17. Always intrigued by the diversity of Philly DJs, Joey enveloped himself in the scene early on by doing various house parties and club parties in the City. He also DJ'd on his college radio station , and ran an internet radio station for 2 years. While still kid, Joey interned at Ruff House Records, a label know for the Fugees, Spin Doctors, and Cypress Hill. In the late 90's and early 2000’s, Joey secured a residency at Club Maui, which nightly was attended by over 2000 people. Joey was also the first Philly and NJ member of the national DJ organization, the Bumsquad, and has since been the regional manager and scout for the organization.

Over the years, Joey has performed at over 75 major venues, and certainly knows how to control and excite the crowd. He is the perfect example of an open format DJ, equally adept at all genres of music.
