About Phoria

'....super-smart and endearingly pieced together from a breathtaking blend of whisper-like vocals and euphoric electronics .' - NME

'If this track is anything to go by, Phoria's upcoming EP, Display, is set to be one of the defining releases of the year.' - Indie Shuffle

'Even as “Emanate” makes its ascent into a huge, warm wall of synth melody, this remains a deeply felt and achingly human composition.' - The Line Of Best Fit

'If a conventional pop song was disassembled to its absolute, minute parts, jumbled up and given a new space, it might sound like this.' - Fake DIY

Brighton five piece alternative, electronic band Phoria return this spring with their second official EP release. The ‘Display’ EP is due for release via X Novo Records in June.

The Lauren Laverne endorsed lead track 'Emanate' raced to No.6 in the Hypem Chart and received over 100,000 plays in its first week and over 120,000 views on Youtube. 'Emanate' has also been BBC6 music's Track of the week and Lauren Laverne's 'Recommends track', it has also received support from Phil Taggart at Radio 1, XFM, BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio. The single is available to buy digitally, along with a preorder of the EP in full. A run of 250 limited edition 10" vinyl’s will accompany the release.

They have also supported Little Dragon, James Vincent McMorrow, Active Child, 65daysofstatic, Efterklang and Ultraista, project of legendary Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich.

In support of the 'Display' EP they will be playing headline shows at St. Pancras Old Church on June 16th and The Haunt, Brighton, June 21st.

The Band's live show was listed as a Great Escape Festival highlight by The Line of Best Fit, and Gigwise.

The ‘Display’ EP is set to be the first release from brand new London based singles label X Novo. The name is Latin for ‘built from scratch’.
