Great Show! Music was fantastic! I had a Great time. They are a wonderful band. The harmonies between the sisters voices are amazing. Their original music is top-notch. The arrangements on the traditional music makes the music their own. Don’t miss their show!!! My only issue with the show was that the venue didn’t have them in their show in their spring/summer book. The venue needs to advertise their new shows more on social media.

About Searson

Energetic and upbeat, Searson has been a refreshing and
exciting change at every festival, theater and live concert
performance. Searson is Erin and Colleen
Searson, two multi-talented sisters that play a variety of in-
struments and are expert step dancers. Piano, organ, fid-
dle, tenor guitar, acoustic guitar and bass are all highlighted in their live performances. SEARSON has toured
throughout Canada, the U.S., Ireland, United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Portugal and has headlined one of the largest music festivals in Europe at Festival Ortiguiera, Spain.
Growing up in the Ottawa Valley, Ontario, Canada Erin & Colleen began to study music at a very young age, performing
locally and competing at Step Dance & Fiddle Contests.
Since the age of 4, Erin has been classically trained through
the Royal Conservatory of music in piano. Colleen has been
studying violin and fiddle methods from all styles around the
world since age 9, while both sisters began step dance lessons before the age of 9. This prepared Searson to grow and expand as they became accomplished performers and musicians and increasingly began to tour across borders and overseas. Searson has always realized that they have had a passion for writing, recording and per-
forming live and have been a full time touring band for sev-
eral years now.
SEARSON has recorded 8 albums throughout their career so far. Homegrown, (2017) is their best album to date. It showcases some of their favourite Canadian artists who have influenced Erin & Colleen to date. Their previous albums, Stars Above The Farm, (2015) Fade and Shine, (2012) A Different Kind of Light (2008), Ignite (2009) were all written entirely by
SEARSON as well. Recorded at French Kiss Studios in Pembroke, ON, Canada with a formi-
dable producer, Jordon Zadorozny (Blinker The Star, Melissa Auf Der Maur).

"In 2009, when SEARSON rocked the Folk-im-Schlosshof festival for the first time, we were blown away by their energetic performance. With a unique and sympathetic way of "living" their music, SEARSON have won our audience’s hearts and in 2011 we invited the three girls to come to Germany once again. Thank you folks for a fantastic show – we have enjoyed every nuance of SEARSON."
~ Franz Koroknay, AD Folk-im-Schlosshof, Bonfeld, Germany 2011

"Thanks so much for kicking off our festival in such spectacular fashion, and providing folks with a reason to dance and celebrate the winter season. AND the dancing workshop got some closet stepdancers out that are likely still practicing for the next time you come to town. Your fantastic performances and warm personalities set the stage for a wonderful week of music and comraderie that will keep us going until next year!"
~ Sue Judge, AD Coldsnap Festival 2012, Prince George, BC

"Although the audience was barely reserved with the first two groups and showered the musi-
cians with applause, it went off with the Canadian group SEARSON. The spectators were
carried away by the cool rhythms, the roaring percussion, the funky....electric bass sounds.
Above all, Colleen Searson turned out to be a true devil's violinist. She played her fiddle so
that the bow threatened to glow."
Diathelm Textoris, Lunen, Germany

Never road weary, SEARSON has a relentless tour schedule ahead. "Touring and perform-
ing our original music for live audiences is the best reward we could get for years of music
lessons and practicing." said Erin. "Touring with my sisters has given us a lifetime of memo-
ries that we could never imagine living without."
