Waste Pipes

BIO ITA Onesti e diretti, sudore e volume. Questo sono i Waste Pipes, amanti delle calde sonorità anni 70 e nati nel 2003 fra i banchi del liceo Charles Darwin di Rivoli. Durante questi tredici anni di attività senza cambi di formazione, la band propone con entusiasmo e umiltà la propria musica, un hard rock vecchia scuola con molte influenze, come blues, indie, stoner, funky. Due chitarre, voce, basso e batteria. Tutto per pettinare con la riga da un lato i suoi ascoltatori. All’attivo due singoli e tre EP: “ Begin to grow” ( 2 0 0 4 – autoprodot to) , “ Let Blood Boil” (2006 – Soundtown), e “Make a Move ” ( 2 0 1 0 – autoprodotto). Quest’ultimo ha segnato il passaggio a un arrangiamento più curato e maturo, grazie ai più di dieci giorni passati al Dub The Demon Studio di Luserna San Giovanni (TO). In “Make A Move” hanno collaboratao: Madaski (Africa Unite), Valerio Giambelli (Statuto) e Mauro Tavella (Linea 77, Africa Unite, Persiana Jones). L’evoluzione però continua con il singolo “For All The Time We Waste”, uscito nel 2013 per celebrare i dieci anni della band, e un album fresco fresco, “Fake Mistake” in uscita il 27 Febbraio 2016. Frutto di un anno di fatica in studio e dal suono compatto e rabbioso. Il disco, co-prodotto da Federico Puttilli (Nadar Solo) e mixato da Gianni Condina, non si ferma solo al vecchio e caro rock’n’roll ma strizza l’occhio a sonorità più moderne, allo stesso tempo più melodiche e più aggressive. Però l’arma migliore dei WP rimane sicuramente l’intesa sul palco: più di 500 concerti all’attivo, in giro a portare sudore e alto volume, non solo in lungo e in largo per il Bel Paese ma anche in Francia, Svizzera, Germania, Olanda e Slovenia. I ragazzi si sono inoltre barcamenati in qualità di opening act per Elio e Le Storie Tese, Perturbazione, Meganoidi, Thunder Express (ex The Hellacopters), D-A-D (Disneyland After Dark), Pino Scotto, Adam Bomb, Francesco-C, Fabio Treves Blues Band, The Bastard Sons Of Dioniso e il sempreverde Bobby Solo! Ora la band è pronta all’uscita di “Fake Mistake” e ad un’abbondante scorpacciata di live. BIO EN The band was born in 2003 behind the High School desks in Rivoli, near Turin (Italy). During these thirteen years of activity the band brought its music, an old school rock'n'roll with many influences (blues, indie, dance), in Italy and Europe. Waste Pipes played as opening act for: Elio E Le Storie Tese, D-A-D, Meganoidi, Perturbazione, Thunder Express (ex The Hellacopters), Adam Bomb, Bobby Solo, Francesco C, Octopus and Fabio Treves Blues Band. With three CDs of original songs at its credit (the second and the third ones made under the supervision of Valerio Giambelli, guitar player in the famous band Statuto), Waste Pipes is one of the long-running bands in the Turin underground scene. While "Let Blood Boil" (2006) was recorded live in the studio, "Make A Move" (2010) has been arranged and recorded with a high quality level, giving the band the chance to explore new solutions and sounds! It was produced by Valerio Giambelli and Claudio Accatino and recorded and mixed by Mauro Tavella (sound engineer for famous acts such as Africa Unite, Linea 77, Persiana Jones) and Madaski (keyboardist in Africa Unite). In 2013 the band celebrates its 10th anniversary still with the original line-up, releasing a single called "For All The Time We Waste". After a long stop, in 2015 the guys worked on new songs that will be featured in the new album "Fake Mistake" out on February 27th, 2016. This step brings the band to a new horizon, the songs are complex, the sound is melodic and aggressive at the same time, the lyrics are strong and straightforward. Anyhow, the band gives its best on stage. They played more than 500 gigs in Italy and Europe and now that the album is over they just want to increase this number. new album FAKE MISTAKE
