Justin Townes Earle

Justin has a great voice and the Sadies were fantastic. Wonderful show. Played a couple of tracks that ended up on The Saint album. Had a pedal steel player sitting in with the Sadies. He seemed very grounded and sober at that time. The Sadies being old school road warriors had more energy but Justin was at the end of a long tour. His music has great depth live. Pathos.

Justin always puts on a show! Been watching him for years and he knows how to have a good time.

Hard to believe we could see an artist of this caliber in a tiny venue like the Wild Buffalo. A larger audience might have brought a bit more energy to the evening, but Justin and band put on an amazing show, drawing generously from his back catalogue as well as the new album.

As always, a show I will not forget! He truly is an amazing singer and songwriter.

Justin was sick as a dog. His voice was struggling to hit notes. I appreciate him going on with the show, I will see him again, he is a great songwriter and his band sounded great! Seeing a show at the Ark can be a harsh, quiet environment for a band. The crowd gives little to no feedback. I can't imagine what it's like to be in front of that crowd. But it is an intimate setting and I am grateful to have seen Justin Townes Earle last night.

Brilliant gig. JTE was mesmerising. Super night had by everyone who was lucky enough to be there.

First solo show I’ve seen by Justin. Way more spontaneous than previous shows. He was into it!

A great collection of songs but a pity that he did not bring a band, then it would have been 5 stars

Justin was great but the crowd was not. Many people carried on conversation while he was singing. Why would people pay big money and not listen to the music. Justin would have given us more if the crowd was more respectful toward him.

Great show. For my money best singer songwriter out there. No one can touch his guitar playing. Love the venue.

This guy is truly, truly wonderful. The kind of artist that once you've seen him once you'll make a point of seeing him again every single time you can.

Good show overall. Never a big fan of when artists go on a political rant like he did midway through. I checked out at that point, but that’s just me. Great player. Good songwriter. Worth seeing.

First off, I could listen to Justin Townes Earle play guitar all night, his skill is mystifying, and his songwriting is neck and neck with his musicianship. In my opinion, he is the epitome of an “Americana” (I hate the word Americana being used to describe a genre) entertainer. He engages with fans between songs, tells funny stories, makes jokes, all while being able to maintain the emotional veracity contained in his songs and his eloquently stark and realistic description of what’s wrong with how we as a nation approach addicts and their addictions. If he’s in a city near you, buy a ticket and buckle up for one hell of a lyrical, sonic, and socially aware experience.

Fantastic show! First saw Justin in 2013. Have been following him since. This was the best performance we have seen of him. He seems to be in a good place. Great storytelling and musical talent. (Tried to give 5 stars)

Great show. Very entertaining evening. Great music and great performance. And found out, he knows baseball. Still have to give him 5 stars even though he’s a Cubs fan.

Justin put on an awesome show... the venue was so cool... sitting in the first row felt like we had a private show. It was a perfect night.
