Formed in Oklahoma in 2015, the members gelled immediately, becoming the perfect example of the right band at the right time. What originally started as a jam session amongst friends, quickly culminated into a nine hour long rehearsal that, inadvertently, created a music family known as Backwater Creek. They are a vanguard of artists forging a wide instrumental range, with an eclectic mix that significantly compliments each other in perfect rhythm, both, on and off stage. Its members hail from years of experience, creating a strong foundation, which emerged from one unified goal —success! With the flair for both clever country song craft and energetic stage shows, BCB is the perfect blend of country, southern rock and middle-of-the-road pop resulting in one of the most unique sounds out there today. Even when their music rocks hard, the sentiment and lyrics remain wedded to reliable country touchstones like cheatin’, drinkin’ and broken hearts. Backwater Creek is currently touring tirelessly to make their mark and strike a chord that will catapult their intricate performances to anthemic heights in a national market. In a bright new dawn when artistic redundancy seemed inevitable, Backwater Creek, has emerged creating a following while delivering shows that are complete with everything from iconoclastic chaos to thoughtful harmony, hallmarked by sudden and unexpected changes of mood and tempo. The dream--an explosion of success that will come fast and furious, putting them on the radar, with the taut, multi-faceted collection of original music that can be heard on their debut album, One Mile Closer, which was released in July of 2016.
