About Lucia Tacchetti

Lucia Tacchetti was born in Bahia Blanca, Argentina. She gave her first steps in music by studying piano at the local conservatory, and after playing several musical instruments, she composed her first songs in 2013. In October of that same year, she was called by Lisandro Aristimuño to be part of the project M.S.F.L. (which in Spanish stands for Non-profit Music), a virtual platform created by Aristimuño to show the music of emergent artists.
In August of 2014, she was called by Sofar Sounds Buenos Aires to participate in their music sessions which take place in more than 100 cities around the world.
In April of 2015, she released her first EP ‘Feriado’ (which in Spanish means Holidays). ‘Feriado’ sounds as holidays and that is not a coincidence because it was recorded in days off between February and March of 2015. The holiday feeling is also reflected on the peace that the songs show. The recording was three weeks on the second place of the most listened records of Bandcamp Argentina right after Él Mató A Un Policia Motorizado. In July of 2015, Lucia gave two sold-out shows in Room B (Sala B) of Ciudad Cultural Konex and in September of that same year she performed at the offices of Google Argentina.

2016 was a year full of movement for her. In April she travelled to Mexico to start her first international tour. She gave three performances in Riviera Maya and she closed the year with eight shows around the Province of Buenos Aires in Argentina.

On the 3rd of March of 2017, she edited her second album ‘Degradé’ (which in Spanish means different shades of colors from dark to light). This LP was self-produced by Lucia and was mixed by Juan Stuart. This record set a change, a transformation, which was evident but gradual without losing Lucia’s identity and style. On 2017 Lucia was chosen out of 28000 bands to present ‘Degradé’ at SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. With this record Lucia took a 36 shows tour between Argentina, Uruguay and the USA.

Last October, Lucia relased a song called ‘Teletransportar” in collaboration with the band Coma Pony from Chihuahua, Mexico. This song was part of several Spotify official playlists such as ’50 Viral Argentina’, ‘Novedades Viernes Sudamerica’, ‘Novedades Viernes Colombia’ and ‘Novedades Viernes Mexico’. With this song and the rest from Lucia’s discography, she reaches 930k streams on Spotify.
VOL. 3D, Lucia’s new album, contains 3 new songs and 3 reimagined tracks from Lucia’s first two albums. With a new full electronic and danceable proposal, Lucia demonstrates that ‘transformation’ is the most significant factor of her music. Lucia reinvents herself with every record and VOL. 3D is the most powerful transformation of his musical career.

For this new stage in Lucia’s music, the point of start was to break the established patterns, to jump and not to hold their ground. Under the premise of a music transformation, a new instrumentation, and Lucia’s own lyrics, she intended to generate a danceable record through the 6 songs that appear in it.
