About King Kobra

Hey folks - David Michael-Philips (David Henzerling) here to let you know what’s been going on for the past 20 years or so. Carmine and I did King Kobra III with Johnny Edwards (Foreigner), Jeff Northrup and Larry Hart back in ’88. I moved on to Lizzy Borden in ‘89 and recorded his critically-acclaimed album “Master of Disguise”, did the record “Attack of the Neon Shark” with Alex Masi, Kuni and Jeff Scott-Soto and also contributed a solo track to the “Black Roses” soundtrack. The early 90s had me forming two of my own LA bands; Geronimo (with Johnny Rod playing with us briefly) and Liquid Black (that recorded with the legendary Roy Thomas Baker - producer of Queen, Journey and Ozzy Osbourne). In ’96, I went back to college and 3 years later received my BS in Engineering Computer Science from Arizona State University (my mom was so proud). Since then, I’ve been playing in the bands Big C**k (my own band with singer Robert Mason from Lynch Mob and Warrant), Icon and now Tunnel (our new CD was just released in January 2010). See you on the trail…! Hi all. This is Carmine Appice and since the break up of King Kobra in the 80s, I been touring the world with different bands...doing clinics...playing with Vanilla Fudge plus a 40 piece orchestra and my drum show SLAMM!....where ever I went people gave me KK. CDs and records to sign...and I thought that 2010 was the time to get the band back together to Rock! So KK is back with the original line up except for the singer mark or Marcie today...Instead, one of my favorite singers Paul Shortino (Duke Fame) on vocals...so get ready to rock with KK in 2010 !Carmine Appice The Official King Kobra is Carmine Appice, David Henzerling, Johnny Rod, & Paul Shortino.
