TA provide a rocking and rolling feast for the ears and mind and soul. I knew the hit “Ballad of Hampton Road” for a while now. It’s on my favorite playlist. But getting to hear the band live and getting to hear Patrick Stickles’ funny storytelling made my night...nay...my weekend. I didn’t even care that my purse got stolen. Patrick’s whole family was there to support the end of a tour that came into the station with full intensity. The show ended on a bang, after which Patrick met with fans. I stood to one side and observed his interactions with fans. He was generous and unaffected. I loved his awkward authenticity. I would watch this band again and again. I would watch Patrick read a Seamless menu.

I love this venue and the show was really good, but this band needs to play places where the crowd can move around.

Energy level was at 10 from the first chord. Craig Finn came out for two covers to finish the show: The Replacements Bastards of Young and The Velvet Undergrounds Waiting For The Man. Awesome show!

It was so awesome, nearly a 2 hour set, lots of new mixed with the old favorites, plus some awesome covers of Jumping Jack Flash and Closing Time with a great crowd made it one of my all time favorite shows
