The Relatives

Power. Pop. The Relatives are proud torch bearers of their favorite genre of rock, power pop. Their calling card is loud, fast, melodic, hook-filled songs—songs expertly crafted, written and arranged in the model of their favorite artists and bands: The Beatles. The Kinks. The Jam. The Plimsouls. The Smithereens. Gin Blossoms. Hailing from Orange, CA, The Relatives have been taking their music to stages throughout the West Coast since 2001. The Relatives have just released their third CD, Tilted World, produced by James Oddo, on Slipped Disc Records. Meet The Relatives: The Relatives are Chris Cyga, drums, David Ramirez, lead guitar/backing vocals, and Jason Arthur, bass/vocals They have released two CD’s prior, including Meet The Relatives (2001) and Dirty Little Secret (2005), as well as having appeared on several compilations. They had five songs appear on the Warner Home Video release, The Utopian Society (starring Malin Ackerman).
