Spiritus

Spiritus are a Neo-Soul infused Roots trio of small, but powerful Chilean-Australian women, captivating audiences and listeners with their raw original songs. Melbourne based sisters Em and Pia, and cousin Amaya describe their music as a translation of personal experience, thoughts and feelings expressed through guitars and honeyed three-part vocal harmonies. They have a variety of musical influences including Amy Winehouse, Erykah Badu, Hiatus Kaiyote and Stevie Wonder in which you may hear the subtle elements of in their unique multi-genre sound. Spiritus have quickly made their presence known not only online, but all across Victoria, having performed at a variety of venues, markets and even festivals including Queenscliff Music Fest (2017) and Bendigo Blues and Roots Fest (2017). The three are busy cooking up their debut EP, due for release in late 2018. The trios exploration of genres along with their intricate vocal arrangements, use of syncopation and punchy lyrics will captivate you and have you hanging off every word.
