About Savannah Berry

The Voice. Team Blake. Safe And Sound. That's how the world discovered Savannah Berry. But like most "overnight success" stories, there were years of dedication and commitment that came before. Savannah, 18, has been performing live since she was 8 years old. It all began when her grandmother first brought her on-stage to sing with her at a Saturday night Opry in Texas. When she was in the sixth grade, Savannah got the idea that it would be fun to videotape her performances of songs and post them on YouTube for her family and friends. Her first YouTube video was “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” and Savannah was surprised when people that she did not know started posting song requests. She did, of course, and with each posting the audience for her YouTube channel grew. In 2011 Savannah’s YouTube channel took off catching the attention of the Academy of Country Music and her favorite artists, Sugarland. They asked if she would be interested in doing a “video duet” that would be used as a promo for the ACM Awards show. Savannah jumped at the chance and met up with Sugarland at the Ryman Auditorium, home of the Grand Ole Opry, to record a video of the duo’s #1 hit, “Stuck Like Glue.” The video was released in March 2011. Savannah went on to join Sugarland on the red carpet at the 46th Annual ACM Awards to promote the video and she was also invited to perform at the ACM Awards All Star Jam, which, as an unsigned artist is a very rare occurrence. In July of 2012, Savannah independently released her first EP of five original songs, which she wrote with Nashville songwriters Zac Maloy (Carrie Underwood’s #1 “Temporary Home”) and Kevin Griffin (Sugarland’s “Stuck Like Glue”). The EP is available on iTunes and streaming services like Spotify and ReverbNation. Savannah performs live, solo and with her band, throughout her home state at opries, rodeos, sporting events and clubs. She’s a regular at WineStyles in Houston where she sells out every show. Savannah has performed at the Country Music Is Love benefit concert for City of Hope alongside Thompson Square, Josh Thompson, Chris Cavanaugh and Brett Eldredge. She has also performed with some of the biggest stars of the Texas music scene including Jack Ingram, Sammy Kershaw, Cody Canada (Cross Canadian Ragweed), Stony LaRue, Wade Bowen, Hayes Carll and Sean McConnell.
